ACFT WILL BE DESCENDING FROM 2600 TO THE LOWEST MDA/DA OF 1420 AND WHERE THE MISSED APPROACH TURNS SOUTHEAST BOUND CLIMBING TO 2600. WE SUGGEST THAT YOU DEVELOP A MEMO OF UNDERSTANDING FOR OPS AT YOUR ARPT WTIH ARPT AT NEW ULM; A CLEAR 20:1 APPROACH SLOPE BE ESTABLISHED. IF THERE ARE OBSTRUCTIONS THAT PENETRATE THE 20:1 APPROACH SFC, THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED OR LOWERED. IF THE PENETRATING OBSTRUCTIONS CANNOT BE REMOVED OR LOWERED, WE RECOMMEND THAT THE THLDS BE DISPLACED AND APPROPRIATELY MARKED SO AS TO PROVIDE A CLEAR 20:1 APPROACH SLOPE SFC TO EACH RWY END; THE CENTERLINE OF AN ARPT RWY SHOULD HAVE A LATERAL SEPARATION OF AT LEAST 60 FT FROM ROADS AND OTHER OBJECTS FOR ACFT WILTH APPROACH SPEEDS LESS THAN 50 KNOTS AND 120 FT FOR AIRPLANES WITH APPROACH SPEEDS OF 50 KNOTS OR GREATER. |
