Great place to learn how to fly
I received my pilot's license here at South Bay Aviation. It is the perfect airport to learn since you are learning in a very busy airspace with LAX (Class B) and LGB (Class C) on both sides about 10 miles away. The practice area is off the coast of Palos Verdes where you don't need to worry about the airspace...as much. TOA has a nice little lounge in the main building with restrooms. There are not any restaurants at the airport but just walk a block or two away for many choices.
I highly recommend anyone in the South Bay area to get their license at Zamperini Field.
