The Tom Bradley International Terminal is modern and well-designed. Immigration moved quickly and the customs area was efficient. However, if you need to connect to a domestic flight, be prepared for a hassle. Had to exit security, walk forever, and re-clear TSA. Food options in TBIT are solid. The FlyAway bus to Union Station is affordable and reliable. Overall the experience varies drastically by terminal.

Flew into Terminal 7 from Vancouver. The renovation is noticeable - brighter and more modern feel. Baggage claim was surprisingly fast, under 20 minutes. The walkway to the rental car shuttle is long but covered. Food options included some decent local chains. Found the staff to be helpful when asking for directions. Wi-Fi speed was acceptable. Still not my favorite airport but the improvements are real.

Local here who flies out of LAX regularly. The traffic and parking situation is a nightmare - allow extra time. Economy parking shuttle wait can be 20+ minutes. Inside, the terminals are dated except for TBIT. TSA wait times are unpredictable. Food choices are improving but still overpriced for mediocre quality. The LAX-it rideshare area is inconvenient but at least organized now. Free Wi-Fi works adequately. Gets the job done but not enjoyable.
