Baiyun Airport handles traffic well. The layout is logical and modern. Immigration for international arrivals moved quickly. Baggage claim was organized. Metro connection to downtown is convenient and inexpensive. Food options include good Cantonese options. Wi-Fi worked after registration with passport. Staff English was limited but they were helpful. Duty-free shopping is extensive. Bathrooms were very clean. The inter-terminal shuttle is frequent. Solid international hub.

Connected through Guangzhou from Vancouver to Bangkok. Transfer process was straightforward with clear English signage. Security was thorough but quick. Food options were good with mix of Chinese and Western. Shopping had duty-free and local goods. Wi-Fi registration was a bit tedious but worked. Lounges were adequate. Walking distances between gates were reasonable. Bathrooms maintained well. Would route through here again for connections.

Regular domestic traveler through Guangzhou. The airport is clean and well-maintained. Security moves efficiently with many lanes. The variety of restaurants is excellent, particularly the dim sum places. Lounges are comfortable with good amenities. Wi-Fi is reliable. Staff are professional. The only complaint is the distance from the city center makes transit time consuming. Overall a well-run modern airport that handles volume effectively.
